For example, if I wanted to make the j&a logo and graphics above into a library item, it would have to be separate from the navigation below, because the article you're reading splits up this page.
After you have highlighted the desired items, click on the "Files" tab on the right side, then click on "Assets." You will see four icons on the bottom just to the right of the word "Insert." Click on the second icon from the left "New Library Item" and type in a name.
The library item can save you a huge amount of time, and will ensure consistency from page to page. And when that day comes when you want to make small edits or update the look of the site entirely, you will be glad you took advantage of this useful feature.
