| How to Draw People to Your Website - Closing the Deal (cont.) |
| |
| The "eyes" have it |
|
| Notice I used the words “prime real estate” in reference to advertising. Do you know specifically where on a webpage people are most likely to look? Eyetrack is a utility that shows you regions on a page where people look first, and perhaps more importantly, where their eyes linger when they scan a webpage. Check out this page that shows the hot spots in different-colored regions - kind of like a weather map. |
| |
| Keep in mind, most people just quickly scan webpages, and rarely read every word on a page, no matter how painstakingly you’ve written & edited the content. Your headings & pictures should do the selling for you. Make them compelling reasons to purchase your product or service. |

Insert call-outs like the one show here. Call-outs are little blocks of text that magazines & newspapers use to emphasize key points in a story. |
