| Windows’ Disk Cleanup utility looks for files it thinks you’ll no longer need. It’s a handy tool because it covers a lot of bases and finds files you might not know how to locate yourself. We’d suggest you run it about once a week, and it’s most effective when you close all your programs first. |

| Just select All Programs from the Start button in the lower left corner of your screen, then select Accessories, System Tools, and Disk Cleanup. After you choose a hard drive, the utility takes a few minutes to determine how much space you could free up, then gives you the option of which ones you want to delete. |
