| Before joining J&A, Dan worked in the commercial lines insurance industry as both a premium auditor and underwriter. He earned his CPCU (Certified Property Casualty Underwriter) designation in 2003 and was conferred at the annual CPCU conference in New Orleans, Louisiana. As a commercial lines underwriter, Dan managed a $4.2 million book of new & renewal business. Although his underwriting experience offered him the ability to use his strong analytical & marketing skills, he was looking for something more creative. |

| Before entering the insurance industry, Dan was a student majoring in Journalism at Roosevelt University in Chicago, Illinois. He decided to go back to school to finish his Bachelor's Degree while continuing to work in insurance. As part of this plan, Dan took an aptitude test and discovered that he would be well suited to working as a Technical Writer. During this time, he met Jan Johansen and soon he was working with her as a Technical Communications Professional. |

| Dan has worked on a number of projects for J&A including Terminix's ASPIRE & SMART and TruGreen LandCare's TruPotential training programs. He also helped create the new J&A website & newsletter and has been using his journalism & marketing skills to write numerous articles for J&A. |

| In his free time, Dan is an avid supporter of the arts. He is a musician & songwriter who has written & recorded a number of independent CDs & records. His music has been played on commercial, college, and public radio all over the world. |
